Description & Requirements
As a Planning Manager, you will lead the planning and scheduling function across multiple projects, ensuring strategic alignment with organizational goals and contractual obligations. You will oversee the preparation, monitoring, and control of project programs, while guiding a team of planning engineers to achieve timely and efficient project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the planning team, providing direction and mentoring;
- Develop and maintain master schedules for complex infrastructure projects;
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and project milestones;
- Oversee progress monitoring, reporting, and forecasting across projects;
- Conduct delay analysis and manage extension of time claims;
- Collaborate with project directors, managers, and stakeholders to align planning strategies;
- Provide planning input for tenders, resource allocation, and risk management;
- Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and tools.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline;
- Minimum 12–15 years of planning experience, with at least 7 years in a main contractor environment;
- Proven track record in MTR (Mass Transit Railway) projects is essential;
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with NEC4 contracts is preferred;
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project;
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills;
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and risk management;
- Demonstrated ability to deliver large-scale, complex projects on time;
- Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Senior Planning Engineer position.
